Over the years, the Firm has grown organically and through mergers: Hart & Company in 2007, Gregg & Company CPAs in 2009, Hendricks Graves & Associates in 2012, LaFollett & Company PLLC in 2023, and Huber Prater & Henson, P.C. in 2025. Job Description
Vail & Park, P.C. is seeking an Experienced Auditor to support and lead audit engagements across a variety of industries, including governmental entities. Our firm provides audit and attestation services that help clients maintain strong financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Audit Quality and Accuracy: Ensure high-quality, accurate audit results by thoroughly reviewing financial statements and controls, effectively using audit software to identify discrepancies, and following structured audit procedures to prevent omissions.
- Client Engagement: Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients by providing regular updates, summarizing findings and recommendations, and responding promptly to questions throughout the audit process.
- Professional Development: Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning by pursuing training, mentorship, and certification opportunities that strengthen audit expertise
- Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative audit environment by sharing insights and best practices, actively participating in team discussions, and supporting peers through review and constructive feedback.
To be successful, these are the skills, qualities and experience you will need:
- 1+ years of professional audit experience (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
- Obtain the necessary CPE for audit projects assigned
- Working towards the AICPA requirement to obtain your CPA License
- Become efficient with the Firm accounting standards for audit binder preparation and finalization processes.
- Become efficient with technology, including the use of audit software and related tools.
- Understand the rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA, US GAAP, IFRS and GAAS.
- A positive attitude and a team player mentality, willing and eager to assist others with a can-do spirit.
Position Details:
Location: 9330 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway, Suite 280, Dallas, TX
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Salary range: $60,000 – $69,000 annually
