What is SOC 1 and why do we need it?
Service Organization Control 1 (SOC 1) is designed to provide reasonable assurance to your clients that you have the necessary and effective controls in place to ensure integrity of processing of their data in support of their financial statements
How does SOC 2 differ from SOC 1?
SOC 1 focuses on integrity of financial statements. SOC 2 focuses on integrity of processing platform based on five trust services criteria, namely security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
